New Delhi. UP Warriorz have opened their account of victory in the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025). They defeated Delhi Capitals by 33 runs on the strength of Chinelle Henry’s (62) stormy fifty. Kranti Gaur and Grace Harris also played a big role in this victory of UP Warriorz. Both of them took four wickets each. This is UP Warriorz’s first win in WPL 2025.
West Indies’ Chinelle Henry scored 62 runs in 23 balls against Delhi Capitals. She completed her half-century in 18 balls. With this, Henry also equaled the record of the fastest fifty in WPL. She equaled the record of Gujarat Giants’ Sophia Dunkley, who scored a half-century in 18 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2023. Henry hit 8 sixes and 2 fours in her innings.
