The Women’s Premier League (WPL) has quickly established itself as the world’s most prominent franchise-based T20 cricket tournament, just two seasons old.
High-scoring matches have become almost common in the WPL, as teams aim to score as many runs as possible to win easily.
Delhi Capitals currently hold the record for the highest score in a WPL match, which they registered against Royal Challengers Bangalore by scoring 223/2.

Shefali Verma and Meg Lanning shared a 162-run stand for the first wicket against RCB at the Brabourne Stadium, laying the foundation for Delhi Capitals’ record score.
Shafali Verma scored 84 runs in 45 balls while Lanning played a quickfire knock of 73 runs in 43 balls.
Marizanne Kapp (39) and Jemimah Rodrigues (22) supported their team well and remained unbeaten. On the other hand, Smriti Mandhana ‘s RCB team could only score 163/8 in 20 overs.
Two days later, Delhi Capitals broke records once again, scoring 211/4 against UP Warriors at the DU Patel Stadium, the second-highest score in Women’s Premier League (WPL) history.
Once again Lanning was in excellent form, scoring 70 runs in 42 balls.
Apart from this, Mumbai Indians’ name is also included in the list of highest scores in WPL, who played the third biggest innings in WPL history by scoring 207/5 against Gujarat Giants.
This match was the first match of the first WPL season. MI won by 143 runs thanks to a blazing innings by Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, in which she scored 65 runs in 30 balls.
RCB hold the record for the highest successful chase in WPL, having chased down 202/4 against Gujarat Giants in the WPL 2025 opener.
