Every year, one day of the Test match held at Lord’s is dedicated to former England captain Andrew Strauss’ ‘Red for Ruth’ foundation. On this day, players, commentators and spectators all wear red clothes. This initiative was started in memory of Strauss’ wife Ruth Strauss, who died of cancer.

Now this day has become a special part of the cricket calendar. Before the match between India and England, the foundation had said that in the last six years, with the love and help of fans, they have helped more than 3,500 families in difficult times.
